The Benedict Menni Unit
Ambulatory
persons suffering from Alzheimer's or related diseases live
in the Benedict Menni Unit on the first floor (west wing)
of the Care Center.
Services are identical to those for the rest of the skilled
units. However, as Benedict Menni residents' deficits are
more cognitive and behavioral than medical, care is based
primarily on a psychosocial model suited to the needs of these
residents.
The unit is especially designed to provide a structured, non-threatening
environment and includes a walking garden that is enclosed.
