St. John of God lived in a time when those who suffered from illness and disease were outcasts of society - left on the streets to die. Moved by the passion of Jesus, John reached out to those who suffered and offered Hospitality, not just to feed and clothe them, but to enter into their lives - to love and to be loved - as was John's experience in the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.

Today this rich tradition continues as the Brothers and our Co-Workers reach out to those who suffer and offer Hospitality not just to feed and clothe them, but to enter into their lives - to love and be loved - as is our experience in the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.
